Minh was very professional and listened to my health concerns and took notes. He let me talk and then we went over a treatment plan that I believe will work just for my specific issues. I'm scheduled for a full evaluation, which I can't even get my primary care doctor to do.

Thank you, Norcal Brain Center for helping my niece with her epilepsy and seizure condition. Our family is extremely grateful that we found your clinic and the therapy you provide. It has helped reduce the seizures by 95%. This achievement has NEVER been possible before with the traditional medications given by her neurologists for the last 9 years. Countless visits to the ER resulted in adding more medications. In fact, she was given the maximum medication available for seizures, and we never saw improvement. She now feels more independent and can enjoy life and live like a normal person should. You have brought great relief to our lives. We thank God for using you, and we pray that you may help many others. Cannot thank you enough!!!!

Nor Cal Brain Center was recommended to me by my biological dentist because I have many health issues including gums that are not healing. She suggested that hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) may help and recommended Nor Cal. I was impressed with the staff when I called and asked about what they offered and booked a free consultation with Dr. Minh Tran.
He was very helpful and listened attentively to my health concerns and we discussed the possible benefits of HBOT. He was knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable with his recommendation and signed up for 30 appointments for HBOT. I was able to easily schedule appointments for three days a week. I have completed almost half of those appointments and am experiencing the benefits in that I am thinking more clearly, have a better attitude, more energy and greater stamina. I am impressed with all of the staff. They are friendly, helpful, and professional. The facilities are clean, comfortable and well maintained. Parking is readily available and close to the main entrance of the building. I would highly recommend Nor Cal Brain Center.

My son has had two TBI injuries resulting in multi-layered symptoms affecting his nervous system, gut, eyes, head/neck/shoulder tension, and vestibular. The treatment plan from dr Minh and the execution of the treatment by the staff has been extraordinary! This is a unique place for healing with a diverse range of testing methods and therapies and skilled doctors and well trained staff. My son was finally able to resume his usual life. With much gratitude. 🙏🏽

I am impressed of the a simple and mindfully “staying still” does wonders for you body and mind. I felt safe inside the HBOT knowing that I was being healed inside and out. I can tell now improvement on my skin looking and feeling healthier and my chest congestion and dry cough that I had for many years has improved dramatically after the second session. I am thankful for Dr Minh’ kindness and his staff promptness to accommodate my needs.
My therapist Jang Dokko is the best. He is deatailed oriented, patient, does the therapy throughly and informs me of everything he is is doing, compassionate and considerate, making sure he does not hurt me.
Thank yoy Jang, thank you Dr Minh and thanks to the whole team.

Summary:

My experience with NorCal Brain Center left me with serious concerns. After a $700 assessment, the evaluating doctor suggested my daughter had a neurological condition and recommended a $5,000+ treatment plan, none of which was covered by insurance. However, when we sought a second opinion from a psychiatrist, they determined it was not neurological. With simple medication, her symptoms improved significantly within two weeks.

Additionally, the super bill we received contained unrelated diagnoses, including a concussion—which my daughter has never had. While the staff is friendly and professional, I now question whether their assessments are accurate or if they are simply promoting expensive treatments. Also, the numerous positive reviews might not tell the full story—NorCal Brain Center runs sweepstakes where patients who post reviews are entered into a raffle for free treatment.

Detailed Review:

We initially visited NorCal Brain Center because my daughter was frequently rolling her eyes involuntarily. After their $700 assessment, we were told this was neurological and required 12 sessions costing over $5,000. None of it was covered by insurance. While the evaluation process felt thorough, something about the diagnosis and treatment plan gave me pause.

To be cautious, we consulted a psychiatrist for a second opinion. After their evaluation, they concluded that my daughter’s condition was not neurological. Instead, she was prescribed medication, and within two weeks, her symptoms had improved significantly. This left me wondering how NorCal Brain Center arrived at their diagnosis—and whether they might have been mistaken or simply following a business model that promotes extensive treatments.

Another issue was the super bill they provided, which included diagnoses that seemed completely irrelevant, such as a concussion—something my daughter has never experienced. I don’t know if this was an oversight or just part of their standard billing process, but it raised concerns.

It’s also worth noting that NorCal Brain Center has many five-star ratings, but I later learned they run raffle-style sweepstakes—patients who leave reviews are entered to win free treatments. This makes me wonder how many of those glowing reviews are truly unbiased.

In the end, I can’t say for certain whether this was a case of misdiagnosis, an overly aggressive treatment approach, or something else entirely. However, based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before committing to any expensive treatment plan here.

Jang

Jang was born in Incheon, South Korea, and moved to the U.S. when he was one year old. He was raised in Morgan Hill, and from a young age, he knew that helping others made him happy. At 12, he began volunteering in various capacities, including preparing food, cleaning trash, assisting with after-school activities, and more. However, it wasn’t until he took his first actual science course in high school at age 14 that he developed a passion for science.

Combining his love for helping others with his interest in science, Jang attended the University of California, Davis, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior (NPB). His time there cemented his passion for healthcare. Since graduating, he has worked at various clinics, hoping to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible to positively impact people’s lives.

Initially, Jang aspired to become a Physician Assistant. After working at Norcal Brain Center for a year and witnessing its profound impact on patients, he hopes to become a clinical neurologist one day.
