Patient Review

Dr. Minh helped me control my excessive sweating, after moving to California I noticed I would sweat a lot more while I ate or I would sweat when it got a little bit warm outside. Dr. Minh pointed out how this was related to the nervous system and how there might be improper messages being sent to my thyroid. Once I started to regularly see Dr. Minh this problem definitely went away along with the many digestive issues I had. Dr. Minh is very detail oriented and understand the brain very well, I highly recommend him!

WHAT IS DYSAUTONOMIA?

Dysautonomia is a condition that affects the part of the brain responsible for automatic body functions such as breathing, blood pressure, heart rate, temperature and sweating. It can cause many symptoms and there are many conditions within the dysautonomia umbrella, such as orthostatic intolerance, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), and vasovagal syncope. Other symptoms can include swelling of hands/feet, redness in hands/feet, dizziness, and fatigue. Dysautonomia has been associated with digestive issues such as bloating, constipation, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). Dysautonomia can be caused by many things – there is no single cause of dysautonomia. Dysautonomia has been commonly reported after things such as surgeries, head injuries, illnesses, or even vaccinations. There can also be a genetic cause and has been shown to run in families. Many times people do not know they have dysautonomia. They only know that they have symptoms that are not normal.
